We arrived early in the day and were glad ... by the afternoon, it was CROWDED!
Of course, there was plenty of food!

I'm glad Jason saw this guy - I would have been startled (to say the least) when I blindly reached for the paper

I stopped next to this young man to watch a parade for a few minutes and cringed when I realized he had RAW chicken in his bags, baking in the sun while he enjoyed the festivities.

I love these wheelbarrows, they just look so sweet. When I commented to Jason about them, he brought me back to reality by reminding me how heavy they would be before a load was even added.

We first met in 2006. We'd both quit our jobs and gotten rid of nearly all our possessions to join the Peace Corps. We were headed to the Kingdom of Tonga in the South Pacific. We thought we were prepared for whatever lay ahead, but neither of us had a clue.
In just over 10 months, we were MARRIED!
Since then our adventures have included:
- a year in New York City, living in a Harlem brownstone apartment
- going off-the-grid & into a tent-cabin on tiny Angaur island in Palau
- living with a bunch of teenagers in Shanghai, China while working as dormitory parents
- off-the-grid again & into a barn on 400 forested acres in Vermont
- at the base of volcanos in beautiful Panajachel, Guatemala
- 3 years in North Idaho working on a new career path
And now post career change, we find ourselves in S. Dakota (of all places!!!)
We love to experience this great big world and hope you will join us for the journey!
