A quick trip to Nanjing Road

We took our first Metro ride this week and had a very successful trip :) They say that LA & Shanghai started their subway systems at the same time ... While LA's seems to still be a few short lines, Shanghai's covers this sprawling city pretty well. We still need to take a bus to reach the station though as it's a ways away, but another line nearer to our house is under construction which we are pretty excited about.

We made a quick trip to Nanjing Road, one of Shanghai's most famous streets. It is full of shops and usually packed with people ... going mid-week, mid-day and after a rain storm cleared it out a lot ...
