Visitors!

We were lucky this week to have some friends from California come to stay with us for a couple nights.  Julie and I were pen pals from summer camp when we were teenagers and reconnected when we both lived in the LA area about eight years ago.  Since I joined Peace Corps in 2006 we haven't seen each other very often so we had a fun visit together, catching up on everything. Of course, we feel anyone who will come visit us and put up with no electricity or indoor toilet is pretty brave :)

We did a quick tour to an awesome Vermont cheese factory, to a maple syrup factory to try the maple creemee (soft serve ice cream with maple syrup in it - amazing!), to Buttermilk Falls and then on to Woodstock, VT to see a very pretty covered bridge.  And then it seemed our time was up.  Sad.  Now we can plan for next time :)
